WebRTC Development
WebRTc stands for Web Real Time Communication. It is an API that is designed to support communication through browser to browser applications, that is, P2P file sharing, video calling and video chatting without worrying about the plugins, whether internal or external. The major components of webRTC are getUserMedia, RTCPeerConnection and RTCDataChannel that allows access to microphone and camera, sets up audio and video calls and shares data respectively. It also has a function named getStats that retrieves statistics about sessions.
WebRTC is supported by almost all browsers of all platforms, viz. Android, Mac, iOS, and Windows. It has two advantages, viz. easy usage and security. WebRTC uses encryption on both ends. It is cost effective and provides un-interrupted communication. Designing a webRTC is a complex task. It requires experience and a team of developers.
